THESE GUIDELINES APPLY TO ALL FACILITY USERS


DELAWARE COUNTY ONLY

  •   Waste and recyclables are accepted for disposal from Delaware County Residents Only

CLEAR PLASTIC BAGS

  •  All solid waste deposited must be in CLEAR plastic bags.
     

FEES / PAYMENT

  •  All fees must be paid in CASH or Credit Card at the time of DELIVERY.

  •  Sorry, but we are unable to accept personal checks or debit cards at this time.

  •  Separate debit accounts may be established by contacting the DPW Main Office at (607) 832-5800.
     

COVER YOUR LOAD

  •  Under NYS law, ALL LOADS MUST BE COVERED during transport.
     

BIOSOLIDS / SLUDGE DELIVERIES

  •  require scheduled appointments with the Solid Waste Management Center.

  •  Sludge producers must supply lab analyses as specified by the Solid Waste Director.
     

PAINT CANS

  •  Any cans with residual paint must be DRIED OUT OR FILLED WITH CAT LITTER prior to disposal with C & D Debris.

  •  EMPTY & CLEAN paint cans may be recycled with scrap metal.
     

BOX SPRINGS

  •  Must have FABRIC & WOOD REMOVED from the metal frames prior to disposal, or a $10 fee will apply.
     

PROPANE TANKS

  •  Should be taken to a dealer for recycling.

  •  Tanks with the VALES & VALVE STEMS REMOVED may be recycled with scrap metal.
     

CONTAMINATED SOIL

  •  Deliveries must have approval of the Solid Waste Director, with 24 hours advance notice and analytical test results as determined by the Solid Waste Director.
     

HOUSE & APARTMENT CLEAN OUTS

  •  Subject to all solid waste and recycling requirements.

 

Any and all deviations from these guidelines must be approved by the Solid Waste Director.
