JAMIE BRYDEN

Delaware County Employee of the Month
December 2012

Jamie Bryden was hired by the Delaware County Department of Public Works on September 25, 2006 as a Motor Equipment Operator.  On August 24, 2009, he was promoted to Heavy Equipment Operator.

Jamie’s primary job at DPW is hauling heavy equipment with the tractor trailer from job site to job site throughout the County. He also pitches in on road maintenance and snow plowing.

Jamie’s work ethic and attitude are to be commended.  He is extremely careful with the equipment, whether while hauling it on a tractor trailer or when he may be asked to operate it.  Jamie is very safety conscious and thoroughly checks the equipment before operation. He is very dependable, willing to do whatever is asked of him.  He is a dedicated employee.  During the flood of 2011, Jamie made himself available whenever needed and would do whatever was asked, coming in on his regular days off and staying at work until the tasks were completed.  Jamie is truly an asset to the Department of Public Works.

What Jamie likes most about the job is working independently to ensure the equipment gets to where it is needed in a timely manner and driving the tractor trailer.

Jamie’s family includes girlfriend Melissa and sons Michael (age 13) and Jacob (age 3)).  Jamie enjoys camping at Lake George, garden tractor pulling and snowmobiling.

Congratulations, Jamie, for a job well done.
